The Triangle Native American Society Scholarship Gala will be held in 2017 at a date to be announced at the N.C. Museum of History, 5 East Edenton Street in Raleigh. This is a major fund-raising event for our scholarship fund and the American Indian Heritage Celebration hosted by the N.C. Museum of History.
The scholarship fund was established in 1985 to assist Native American students interested in pursuing an undergraduate degree. The primary focus of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to those students who demonstrate a commitment to Native American people and opportunities for American Indians to better their lives through academic achievement and community involvement.
Scholarship recipients are American Indian students in their sophomore, junior or senior year of study. All proceeds from the scholarship gala will be shared between the TNAS Scholarship Fund and the American Indian Heritage Celebration.
This special evening includes a catered reception, scholarship award presentation, silent auction of artwork and other items donated to raise funds for the scholarship. Attendees will be entertained by music provided by a local DJ so they can dance the night away.
